The selected experiences undoubtedly represent a cross-section part of the commitment that the Region of Veneto for more than twenty years has consistently put into promoting and supporting local authorities, associations and young people in youth policy. In the years that have followed the guidelines and support which covered different areas, with the common belief that young people should not be mere recipients of the projects and / or services, but active participants at the stage of policy.
In recent years, while recognizing the diversity of needs they need to articulate and multifaceted world of young people, devices, and provisions have consistently supported projects and work processes are capable of putting a system approaches, methodologies and tools that have proved effective over time and meeting the basic needs of young people.
Working closely with the territory has also made it possible to also consider the specific authorities, offering the opportunity to present and implement projects in accordance with typical local characteristics and phenomena. needs, the Veneto Region has maintained high attention to listening, analysis and evaluation is also of some phenomena related to the universe of young people, such as new technologies, multiculturalism , creativity, original-expression, changes the world of work, etc.., affecting directly or indirectly on the cycles of life of young people.
This requires an attitude of ongoing research, giving room for experimentation initiatives, which are not only extraordinary events, but become the working methods of those who want to deal with youth condition respecting the diversity and multi-dimensionality of their new generations. The projects of the former Regional Law 29/88, cooperation and confrontation that took place with other European attr averso Open Door and the experimental project of the Regional Forum raised by the new regional law 17/08, represent not only the testimony of tradition and attention to good practices, but also the inclination to research and development of strategies and methods, including innovative, more coherent and responsive to the needs of young people and community.
